New member with Carfax request
Vin# JFLCX3536NH109462
I just spoke to Subaru Canada concerning a new part dispute with a dealership. They said the car was "branded" which means it has been modified, salvaged or a theft recovery. I've only had it a couple of weeks and would like to know what the problem is or was. Thanks very much.

Ran Carfax and found that the VEHICLE DECLARED TOTAL LOSS This was 05/13/2005 at 156,000 miles.

OK Thanks very much. I was aware of that accident. The guy I bought it from was involved in a hit and run accident, crunched the passenger side door, rear fender etc. I guess with the high mileage they figured the repair was worth more than the car.
WRONG It's a Subaru SVX, it's worth way more than a little stinkin' fender bender damage. Actually my friend owns a garage and body shop. He said he'll fix it for me for $600.00, about a third of the retail/insurance cost. Last edited by Blacky; 09-10-2008 at 04:48 AM.
