At a minimum, the good news for everyone is that the voting machines were not hi-jacked. The Dem's were not in a position to do so, and the Republicans either did not have the capability to manipulate them, or chose not to out of ethical consideration, or delegated the hi-jacking task to Rumsfeld.

I was amused to see how many thought that the Republicans would hire hackers to rig the election. Hacking is an almost liberal dominated community. doubtful anyone would have been willing.

The company that makes most of the voting machines is the same company that makes most ATMs. When was the last time you heard of an ATM being hacked into? Usually thieves just tie a chain to it and try to drag it home.

Most ATMs still run on OS2-Warp with the newer ones running JNode. I think The Voting Machines are mostly JNode.

Voting machines? Is that the fing pen that I had in my hand after waiting an hour to fill in dots while this funny looking machine sat with a sheet over it?

I guess your right though, the Democrats must have done it since the flock of old folks seemed quite confused about having a paper ballot. I'm sure they left tons of hanging chads before they expired.
