Diagnostic - Code reading - Plugs
I was recently in the kick panel of the car tidying the wiring loom to remove a badly fitted central locking kit. Now I found the 2 black plugs and the blue wires and have seen the quick guide to how to pull the codes.
But..... I found the single black wire plug shown in the photo in the how to section how to section under obd1 plug (see here http://www.subaru-svx.net/forum/showthread.php?t=53915) In my case this connector was not joined. Is this only joined when checking codes or does it need to be connected at all times?? Thanks for your help Jan |

Re: Diagnostic - Code reading - Plugs
UK cars may be diff. but I believe only used when reading codes.

Re: Diagnostic - Code reading - Plugs
Thanks SVX_MY_BABY for taking time to reply.
AFAIK the uk diagnostic procedure is the same and on the quick reference sheet it doesn't mention the single plug hence my question. Does anyone know the full ins and outs of the diagnostics? |

Re: Diagnostic - Code reading - Plugs
Look in the How-To Documents (link at top right of this page)
There is a whole section on Trouble codes at the bottom of the linked page.
