Hello everyone - quick update on the progress of the two cars. I am the one that bought the two cars and with some help from Carlos (My92SVX) and all of those on the forum that are helping me with the parts request I posted this week I hope to have them both on the road soon. If you read through here before you know that the Black 92 has a salvage title and was basically sold for parts. We found that it should be an easy fix and after just a little bit of work we had it up and running and it's now drivable. It still needs some work to get the front end together completely but we are waiting on some parts to arrive and still have some more to find to be able to complete it. Motor and Transmission are good so far and we drove it a little last weekend so it should be on the road soon.
The 93 runs and sounds good but the transmission is completely dead. Hopefully once I get another tranny and a few little things it will be on the road. It also needs a front windshield but that's already in the works. When I got the car it had most of the front end pieces from the black car on it so I took them all off (front fenders, bumper, driver door, etc) and bought replacements in red so that both cars are at least the right colors. All the parts are now on the car and it looks like the only real mess-up was with the driver door I got. I was told that it was from a 93 and it looked good but when I got it back to the car I noticed that it's a little different shade of red and the glass has the blue tint instead of the bronze. Everything else on the car is good so far. I know Carlos said we would post pictures a while back but we had a hard time getting together to work on them. Attached are a few pictures we took last weekend. I'll put up some more pictures when they are complete - hopefully very soon...... Thanks, Kevin
