Unusual SVX Sighting

I was just browsing this site about the offspring of an M1A1 Abrams and a Segway and came across the following image... I'm pretty sure they just used some random car out of the junkyard, but still kind of nifty to run into SVXii in unexpected places:

The full site is here.

Re: Unusual SVX Sighting

I'm sure there are some decent parts there, but what the hell is that thing?!? Motocross meets Tank Commander? Ad agency is really stretching for that one.

Re: Unusual SVX Sighting

Forget the svx in whatever wrecking yard it lies in. What the hell is this thing on the hood supposed to be? I stared at it's website and I'm still scratching my head.

Usefullness?
Track life?
Is it a military app for the future recruits that are used to riding a skateboard?
-If it is for military purposes, looks like a quick way to get your soldier shot.
What powers it?
-sounds like a 1-cyl 4-stroke.
Range?

$2500?!?

"shredding" over sharp, jagged rocks only to potentially eat it doesn't sound like too much fun.

So this is what has become of Johnny 5. So when given the choice to partially restore a forlorn Subaru or a crazy robot they picked the robot.

Re: Unusual SVX Sighting

It is a terrible, post-apocalyptic scene. When an SVX is scrapped, AN ANGEL DIES....

Re: Unusual SVX Sighting

I think it has a potential for some field use, check out the video, where it was haulin a modified trailer with a dummy to simulate a medical rescue.

Re: Unusual SVX Sighting

I'm no military expert, but it seems to me that if the driver was sitting down then he'd be a much smaller target and could ride it further before getting tired.

A quad bike would be more practical, cheaper and could carry an extra passenger on the back (ideally holding some kind of assault rifle or light machine gun).
