Exclamation Helpe me !!

Hello everyone,

Why my SVX is trembling at very slow speed by pulling the steering wheel to the right or left?

Thanks.

Pierre, if you mean that the steering wheel "trembles" when you turn it. It may be air getting into the power steering pump. It may be the "O" ring under the pump tank, letting air in.

Harvey.

Re: Helpe me !!

If it vibrates the wheel back at forth while the car is moving at slow speeds it could be;
- While braking it could be "warped" brake rotors or bad control arm bushings.

- While driving at slow speeds it could be bad/binding front axles.

O ring is a round gasket.
How you check the oil level on the steering pump?

Maybe the rubberpipe is leaking?

Replace the o-ring under your fluid tank, they tend to harden and leak. Try this before replacing the pump. O-rings shown are for illustration purposes only!

Re: Helpe me !!

Power steering o-ring replacement = p/n 062610110

TREVOR supplied information on the o-ring size in the "how-to" area, about 5+ years ago.

It only takes 30 minutes to change & it was the cause of my issue.
