oab_au mentioned an online auto magazine in another post
www.autospeed.com I like the site (a lot) and recommend you give it a look if your haven't been there. In fact I was looking at an article about "home-made" air/fuel ratio instruments. Turns out there's a company that has a temp guage accurate to within 2 degrees F from -4 to over 400 (should cover an SVX - in summer anyway). It only costs $25. They also have a really neat multi-color analog LCD voltmeter gauge for $20 - converts to an ammeter with a couple of cheap resistors. If you're interested look at http://www.lascarelectronics.com/att...TOKEN=20231136 These aren't car gauges, but with a little interface work a couple of these things should be easily installed in the DIN sized slots below the radio (assumes no CD-player). Anybody care to share the signal characteristics for a tranny temp gauge sending unit? |

Thanks Lee for providing these links. Interesting and worth while.
