Road Trip

I live in Massachusetts but for spring break I am heading down for a visit to Tennessee. I'm not sure who is in the area but if anyone down there or anyone on the way down wants to meet for a bite and compare cars. Just thought I'd through that out there. Let me know.

That's just a couple hours from here....if you're going down I-75, you'll pass with-in about 30 minutes of me.

Good suggestion, definately worth a run through.

I live in Knoxville and can fill you in on most of the Car and Club spots, while you are in the area.
If you are visting someone that lives here you're probably pretty well hooked up anyway.

I live in north Knox county, Halls, about 15 minutes from downtown. I'm an old timer but still get out with my kids from time to time, they're in their late 20's.

There are quite a few spots

For Clubs
The Old City, this is an area in downtown Knoxville that consists of resturants Live Musici, Dance clubs all within walking distance from one another.

Cumberland Avenue
This is the College Strip, clubs, sports bars, live music etc.

Cotton Eyed Joes
This is big CW dance club, May sound dull but there are a lot young hotties that go there. That what my kids tell me, being married and all, I wouldn't know.

Kingston Pike
Nice long Route in West Knoxville where most of the car cruising goes on, Different hang out spots depending on the night. This route also has a wide variety of clubs, resturatnts, malls, etc.

In the Spring on Thursday nights they have Free concerts in Downtown market square, those are a lot of fun and usually pretty packed.

If you're down on weekend
Clinton Hwy, there is a regular Saturday car meet that goes on, upwards of 200 cars on average, quite a few bikes, all makes, models, a lot of custom stuff.

This is a beatiful part of the country, so just getting out and riding around is great too.
As mentioned, Deals gap, "The Dragon" , this road is a blast, Always a lot of cars a bikes running it. Just 30 minutes south of Knoxville.

You may want to check this local website out, intorduce yourself, you'll probably have quite few folks willing to take you out and show you around.

Another hour and half southwest will put you in Chattanooga which is a lot of fun too.

OK, here is the plan. I am leaving Mass. at about 5AM sunday march 5th. Tom I will be near Philly around 10:30-11AM. Let me know if you want to meet for lunch or something. I will probably be getting to Knoxville around 10PM sunday night and will be there until Fri morning. FJM57, Huck369, Noir if any of you want to meet up that would be awesome.
