Exclamation Trannny acting wired--Nedd help !!!

My tranny has a long delay, between shifs, it goes to about 3K rpm and stays there for 2-3 seconds before shifting to higher gear, brake band adjustment helped a little bit but the problem still persists.

Please help?

Flaring. Tranny is probably on it's way out and it will only get worse unless you can stop it from flaring.
Try the tranny resistor band-aid fix to see if it will temporarily keep you good, then get a flush as soon as possible. If you can manage, let off the gas as soon as you think it should be shifting. Normally this got mine to be a little quicker before I installed the shift kit.

See if you can dig up more info to help us diagnose.
What year car do you have?
How old is the tranny?
When does it flare? All the time? In every gear? Even when it's cold?
Who did the band adjustment?

Stuff like that.
