I actually mentioned that while i was taking the manifold off to get to all the broken hoses, I said, man I would hate to have to be awdsvxh6 and be changing the EGR...man that would suck.
But now, looking back on it, it wasn't really THAT bad, just a pain to have to do it to begin with... I suggest taking the intake manifold OFF to get to the EGR, after it's off, it is cake to play around with the EGR, i played with mine to make sure it was working properly
Looking forward to swapping engine work horror stories at fontana

oils changed and it's washed put the new sub in and now alli have to do is redo the transmission pan gasket since the guy at the shop where i got it replaced didnt know what he was doing. oh and i have to re do the throttle cable since it is still tootight cuz u can barely push down the gas and it is like it is floored. Today i wall ask my boss about those days off and see what goes down with that and if that goes to plan im goin to the meet.

hey, that's awesome, I look forward to seeing you there.. I'll bring the 5 bucks i owe you, don't say you don't want it..
that is if I can get all the stuff on mine back together and get it running, while I have it apart i decided to go all out, spark plugs/knock sensors/header gaskets, and I'll be putting a mean clean on everything.. i'm also taking suggestions on what i should service next.. i'm just a wrenching machine

Do your valve cover gaskets while you're in that deep...

I was afraid you would say that, not that I don't want to get into those, but I REALLY don't want to get into those...wouldn't I have to drop the engine out for that?

Nope, it's just alittle tricky to reach.... There ashould be something in the "How-To" folder (Personal Lockers)... If they aren't leaking though, ya shouldn't have to worry about it... Mine aren't leaking and my engine has 92k miles on it... So I didn't replace them when we had the engine out a few weeks ago... I know I could have, but it wasn't a priority, yet... I know when they start leaking, I'll replace them... No biggie...

Nope, as a matter of fact, the coil packs have to come off to get them off, and the coil packs have to come off to replace the spark plugs, so since you're doing the spark plugs, you should go ahead and do the valve cover gaskets....they're not much more trouble than the plugs,...there is one bolt on the lower, rear, drivers side valve cover that is kind of hard to get, but not if you have a 10mm wratchet wrench.

I just bought a set of wratchet wrenches but....ugh, i just got that stuff back together last night(plugs and coils).... i think i'll wait till it starts losing oil.. maybe by then I'll be good buds with beav and he can help me along with the valve gakets and the rear bearings... I really should PM him or something, I'm not sure he knows I exist yet..

If all goes to plan i will have the SVX back and running by next tuesday, God willing and assuming I get the parts I ordered..... huck, i'll be in touch with you sometime soon about seting up a meeting place to go down to the Dragon
