More of an A than a Q...

Well Aredub, the shake is gone! I remember you saying your SVX was the same as mine, and you get a shudder/shake at a certain speed then it smooth's out. Well after taking my car up to Canada last time, if you remember right, they diagnosed it as bad CV joints. Well I went with their advice and had them replaced. My friend got the dealer discount on the parts, cost me a little over $200 new for them, and I paid the Ford tech $60 to put them in for me. Voila no shake! She drives like a dream now.

Just though I would share.

Ryan

Thank you, Ryan. I should know for sure today whether my slight shudder is a wheel/tire issue or a CV issue. I had the wheels I bought from Leo (1995subaruSVX) put on today and had the tires rotated. I'll check on the way home, since it happens right around 60 MPH. O'course, I guess I could try 60 going down one of Evansville's busy streets -- at my own peril. Thanks again.

Ryan. Looks like I may have had a slightly warped rim. Once the new (to me -- Leo's stock '94's) wheels were on, she smoothed out. No more vibration.

First of all, YES, you've been gone that long! Second of all, they shouldn't put the damned 4 so close to the 5. Not to mention, I got in trouble with Green1995SVX for calling him Green1994SVX once and felt I needed to reciprocate. Dangit! Y'all shouldn't have such doggoned long screen names anyhoo!
