G'Day Moshol,
Just looked at your photos and saw you scratched lens
This sort of damage can be fixed, it just takes a bit of hard work.
If the scratches are not too deep (and it looks more like a scuff than a scratch) then you would start with some 'Wet-n-Dry' sandpaper (
the black type) around 800 grit, used WET and with a block.
When all signs of the scratches are gone you should be left with a cloudy patch.
Now move onto some 1000 or even 1200 grit, still using a block and WET in a circular motion.
While wet it will appear to be like new again, but when it dries it will still be cloudy.
The last step is to get some BRASSO and CHUX cloth, and still with the block, wet the area with the BRASSO and rub until the area dries up, don't be afraid to use a bit of pressure as this will help the polishing action
Hope to see you 30 NOV
Arthur

Hey Arthur

Thanks for your advice- i've previously tried to use disolve it & a few other products to no avail. Have only just realised from your msg that it is actually a scratch- it sort of feels raised and i thought it was something stuck before.... girls & handywork! Will head to the hardware store this arvo & hopefully chris will come over to assist

Ken, i'm actually looking for some weekend work if your car needs polishing ( bit of travel time involved though....)

Cheers, Michelle

OK, so you saying the mark is the remains of a sticker or something?
If so don't worry about all that polishing effort (yet) just get some Mineral Turps and some CHUX.
DO NOT USE THINNERS OR NAIL POLISH REMOVER
Fold the CHUX into about three or four layers and make wet with the Turps, then find some way to hold in place so as to soak the glue, probably about fifteen minutes.
If the glue is not too old or been in the sun for too long, then it should soften and you can wipe it off
However, if it has gone real hard, you will have to go back to my previous post and use the sandpaper
Lots of luck
Arthur

Looking for Plates?

Just thought you might like custom plates for your new GREEN MACHINE
Go to;
http://www.rta.nsw.gov.au/myPlates/olpsChoosePlates.do
if interested.
Be warned, they're a bit pricey
Arthur.

Thanks for the plate advice Arthur

But......don't have a lazy $400/ year to spend on them! That would be the most annoying side of custom plates. although i must say, the green moshol would kind of stand out.
The hardware shop was closed when i got there so i was unable to get sandpaper. The mark is a scratch (i'm pretty sure/ realised today). Its been there since i got the car 2 years ago.

Cheers, Michelle

Plates

You're right, those custom plates are a bit exxy, you could try MOS-401 for only $50 plus $70 a year, but it's probably starting to get a bit vague.
SVX-095 is still available in green, or any other color for that matter for only $70 a year, or you could try the 'New England' set which are green and gold for $189. (I don't know if that's a one off or per year?)
No I don't work for the RTA, but I seem to be paying their wages!!
Arthur.
