2004 Subarus Recall

Subaru has recalled more than 7,800 2004 Legacy and Outback models because of a problem with the fuel system.

The company said there may be a loose or misplaced fuel-filler hose clamp on the gas tank.

A problem with the clamp could cause a gasoline leak, which is a fire hazard.

Dealers will inspect the clamp and tighten it if necessary. The company said it will notify owners in August or September.

Those with questions can call Subaru at (800) 782-2783 or the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration at (888) 327-4236.
This comes from AP press
