SVX vs Public Transportation

Just be warned...some of these images are graphic

Before:

after....my poor baby

I just got these rims >_<

After all that it still runs like a champ lol. I ordered a new rim and popped on a new fender and turn signal so far. My friends getting a deal on the body work ( just $250 to get the dings and what not out on top of a $800 single color paint job).

I was wondering if anyone had trustworthy sites where I could order after market parts ( like clear head light lenses, bumpers , etc). I'm treating my SVX likes its Robocop and my names OCP.

Oh and I was wondering if I should keep it laguna blue or spring for something new lol ^_^

Ouch. Glad no one was hurt.

Keep it Blue! There are many reasons why. You'll kick yourself later otherwise.

If it was my area, it would have been the bus driver's fault. they haul around like it's nobody's business...

Sorry to hear that, those are nice rims too, and the car looks in good shape. Good luck on getting it strait again.

The messed up thing is that it was just rub damage at first, then after five seconds they decided it would be best to keep going...like the problem was going to fix itself >_<

Interesting fact : didn't know the side mirrors were collapsible, saved me from more expensive repairs lol.

does anyone know if this is a respectable site?

Maybe you could get a free consultation with a lawyer to see if you can get the insurance to cover it, or go for suing the public transit people to get your car fixed. Things like lawyers and the BBB can tend to shift the tides a little in your favor sometimes, if used properly. Just a thought.

If you sue, do it in small claims without a lawyer. A lawyer's fees will cost whatever you would get in a property damage settlement, so it's not worth it (lawyers are only good for bodily injury claims, imo).

When your insurance said it was "no-fault," did they mean not your fault, not the bus' fault, or comparative negligence?

From what I was told, comparative negligence. Since they couldn't figure out who was more to blame they decided that everyone should deal with their own repairs.

Do you not have COL coverage? And yeah, bus drivers are never at fault. They're almost as bad as tow-truck drivers.

Still, if you were in your lane the entire time and there were witnesses present (whose information was taken down), it sounds like your insurance company didn't do too terribly thorough of an investigation. Then again, if it came down to word vs. word you're lucky the bus company isn't going after you (which, in my mind, would be more evidence they're at fault). Did you have any witnesses from the bus or elsewhaere?
