Grille Project

Hello,
I wanted to know what people think of a Billet grille for the SVX. Here are some pics of my prototype. Don't pay attention to the dirty car. I am using the plastic SVX emblem. It would be neat to get some nice metal emblems for the grille.

The best part is the billet grille is very high quality and I got it for $5. I am going to do another using my other stock waterfall grille. I will take pictures and do a "how to" file. The other benefit is it opens up the center where more cooling air can get through. Since it is made from the stock grille, it plugs right in to the stock mounting. I wanted more grille showing than what the 97 has. Plus I wanted Billet. If you don't like Billet, there is no reason you could not do the same modification using the grille material of your choice. The body of the grille can be painted to match your car's paint. Total material cost is less that $50. Much less if you happen to have fiberglass cloth, epoxy, and paint.

Awsome keep up the good work!

Right on man way to go! I think its awsome that you did this cant wait for a how to. How long did it take? do you think it could be made with thinner sides? they kinda seem fat with the bottom piece missing.

A cheaper alternative than the one for $195 at motorsportwarehouse. But it seems Dayle's has more airflow capability since it utilizes the entire cavity between the headlights.

Not bad, I like yours better than Dayle's...

I think smallcar's design has the pretty good-looking grille, have you seen than before?
