As we approach 3000 members

I would like to know how many active members & lurkers we actually have.

Could we use this thread as a CHECK IN point.

LURKERS!!! THIS MEANS YOU!!!

Ok, so you never wanted to post. Maybe you never had anything to say... Maybe there was never an excuse to chime in on or in another thread...

This is your chance... please Say hi! Tell us how long you've been looking

Regulars CHECK IN TOO!!!

No control on this... but maybe if we stuck to one post each it would help too....

Thanks!

(perhaps this could be a Sticky as we approach the 3000 member mark)????

(Edit: I noticed that some have stated that they don't want the list purged. That is not why I wanted to do this. I was hoping that we could just get an idea of how many of the close to 3000 are still with us... I know that many wax and wane ... and I don't desire to lose any more posts than have already been lost.)

I lurked for two months gleaning information on the car before buying a 92 5-speed from your former member, Michael Lai. (I say former, because I have not seen any postings from him for a while now that he has a nice Honda Civic Si to play with and mod.)
I bought the car in the beginning of August and am on this forum multiple times a day.

I am a pessimistic optimistic. I think the worst is going to happen, that way when it does, i don't feel as bad, but if the best happens, i am twice as happy.

I took a peek here when I started seriously considering the purchase of an SVX sometime late last summer, and became a regular after I bought the car in November. The opinions of several expressed in these boards sealed the deal for me, and I have not been disappointed. Thanks, everyone.

I'm Mike! I've been around for a while ........a very long while ....about 5 years back I would lurk around on the yahoo board and want all the stuff on the kineticconcepts website ...............but I was young.

Wasn't til now I finally got my dream car from my teenage years ........heck what am i saying - I'm only 20 now, single, live in both north and south jersey at the same time ...I'm in my senior year of college studying to be an electrical engineer so I can spend my 6 figures on the SVX.

Me and the whip .....I consider myself to be a regular member

Hey. Eric here from southwestern Wisconsin. Studying mechanical engineering.

Picked up my car on Friday June 13 2003. Dunno if thats a good thing or bad thing. I did have to deal with the tranny woes.

Here's a picture of me at one of my finer moments. Went to Minneapolis in late July and this is the day after. You know we did it right.

Hi, my name's Napa, and I have an adiction, I am powerless over this adiction alone, so I come here too. Girls will talk to me, but that's it, so I have nothing else to do I don't say much or have any opinions, and I hate everyone, so eff off.

BTW, is that a special ring on Kellis hand, or just any old ring

Keith Eggert from Boise, Idaho. Bought my SVX the very last day of 2003 and haven't looked back. I haven't even had the car a year and have already had so many enjoyable moments, the burnout action in Mt. Rose, Tahoe area and the trip home(Thanks Dustin) and fun in the snow. To Michelle, thanks for putting together such a fun shindig there in Reno.

Many more years hopefully. But for now, enjoying the SVX for all it's worth.

Here are two pics. Boy the SVX is just so sexy, I couldn't help myself.

I was wondering how many active members do we really have also?

I consider myself as a regular member too. I log on to this site every other day or every day.

Well, I don't post too many only something get my interest. But I read alot of threads if I have time. Things are just kept repeating all over again over these almost 3-4 yrs here.

Hm. Recalling!!! Got my LS-L Teal 3yrs 2mth plus 1 day already....as of this point. Currently the mileage is at 67k++.
Still climbing slowly... Still in love with her.

Ahh..I've also been to one of the ReadingIII(I guess). I met some pple there. Looking forward to joining the others...

Significant Technical Input
Uhh....

Before y'all consider purging the list you might consider that there may be more like me that go through spells of activity/inactivity. Since checking in occasionally over the past couple weeks I don't think I've seen any posts from some of our more 'historical' members, to wit: Randy, Ron, Larry, Don, Trevor, Doug, et al. (I know I'm missing some names, I'm old - o.k.?) Good to see noobs and old friends both. Maybe write a little script that would only select those that haven't logged in over the past eighteen months and/or never posted over say, fifty times? Those that are both inactive and known to no longer own an SVX?
