A/C Condenser Interchange

Are the A/C condensers from the pre-'94 cars (R12) the same, or interchangeable with the post-'94 (R134a), or in other words, can I take the condenser out of my '92 parts car and put it in my '94 that I just punched a hole in when my tool broke loose while removing the cam pulley! DOH!

Significant Technical Input
Re: A/C Condenser Interchange

A good radiator shop or really anyone good at tig welding can weld that hole closed.

Shops don't like welding ac parts that have holes eaten through them because the walls of the tubes are usually thinned by corrosion but if you poke a hole in something like you did it usually welds up fine.
