Re: Cooper tires

Can't say about the Zeon in particular, but I've been pleased with the V-rated Cooper CS4 Touring.

Re: Cooper tires

The coopers I own now (Lifesavers or some ****) are total rubbish. Really loud and break loose at the slightest sign of rain.

Re: Cooper tires

I had Cooper Cobra XST. They were really good. Same tread as the Avon tires used on Aston Marten and Bentley back in the day. Too bad they don't make them any more.

Cooper picked up some good technology when they bought Avon. Nice to have a tire made in North America by a North American owned company.

Re: Cooper tires

Cooper tires are mainly known for their classic whitewall tires.

Nexen are cr@p, have them currently on my mom's Mercedes. Bottom line, save your money.

Keep in mind that the place of manufacture is very, very likely to be of different origin for your tires than the "same" tires here.

Nate, I know the Nexen main dealer in my country very well. He imports the tires from both South Korea and China and gives the option for people to choose the one that suits their budget. Of course the Chinese Nexen is cheaper than the Korean.

Ours are Korean, but never again...

Re: Cooper tires

Hi Dan,
I have the Nitto Neogen 225/45/17 on BBS wheels. Don't like them. Squirmy, don't track well.
If you must go low budget, Falkens from discount tire are cheap, do everything except ice/snow well, wear out fast. I have has Zeix 225/50/16V, 215/55/16V Zeix 512s, and FK452 255/35/18. Very nice when new.
If I were to buy tires today, probably look at Sumitomo HTR .
I had Toyo Proxes, did everything well except got noisy.
I have always used dedicated winter tires. If I had to use an all-season, Continental would be good choice. I have heard nothing but bad on the Nexus tires from friends, usually bought by price for low profile +2 setups.

Re: Cooper tires

I really like my nitto motivos in 225/45-17 flavor, great grip wet and dry, good ride quality, hard to tell how noisey they are, roads around me suck ass. 60000 mile warranty.
