Vibration Issues

Hi everybody

I currently running a 1995 JDM and am having trouble trying to resolve a vibration issue.

It occurs only on over run, it is smooth through exceleration with no issues, alternativly I can slightly depress the brake pedal there will be a slight thud (which gets stronger as the car gets warmer) and the vibration dissappears.
the vibration seems to get worse as the car gets hotter, but is apprent from start.
and It seems be more forcefull at lower speed but with a lower frequency, so something I thought must be gear box/drivetrain.
however I have had the gearbox inspected and was told that it is very good condition, and it must be related to the drivetrain or brakes.
I took it to my subaru mechanic who replaced the diff bushes, which didnt resolve it, and he told me it had to be a gearbox issue. as he couldnt find anything wrong with drive train etc.
It feels to be located more towards the rear of the car and the thud slightly foward of that.

any help would be appreciated

Cheers Alex

Cool Re: Vibration Issues

Hi Alex - mine is the car next to yours in your picture - remember.

I got the following from TurnInConcepts in USA

Since here in NZ the local agent wants NZ$180.00 just for KDT903 rear Diff mounting bushings I went the whole hog & got the guys in USA to add them to the yellow C12 set from Poland

KDT903 whiteline rear diff bushing (US$35.00) - that is where you are getting your noise from - the write-up on how to use it is at

http://svxworldforums.com/

you leave the old rubbers in place & fit the new ones inside the old.

Maybe some one from here can show Alex the actual link

cheers

Re: Vibration Issues

SURTEESS!!!

I have this same "clunk" in the rear end that happens at low speeds.

Is this definitely the problem, the rear diff bushings? It sounds like the correct diagnosis.

I only ask for clarification as Alex mentioned he had replaced the diff bushings and has not updated this thread!

Cheers,

Mike

the dif bushes were replaced by subtech.
