400,000+

So, was riding with a subaru tech today to have him hear my Neverending Rattle of Doom (tm) and mentioned "Yours isn't even broken in yet - I've got a guy who comes in with one of these, he's got over 430,000 miles on it."

So, Doug still wins in "confirmed" miles, but I'd be real curious to see this guys car...

Well, I should hit 220,000 this weekend.

It looks like I may actually have to do some engine work. The oil pump seems to be unable to flow enough at idle. I get that famous Subaru valve tick at idle.

So I'm going to replace the oil pump, crank seal and cam seals. The bummer is that I just had that all apart changing the timing belt and water pump last fall...

Doug

Today I crossed 210,000 miles. I'm having the same symptoms as you. I'm seriously thinking about a full rebuild at 240,000. Perhaps bore out the cyls to 3750 (or whatever) while I am at it.

...and today, if the A/C quits, it's time to call in sick.
I don't think Irv had to worry about it.

Ron.

PS - Please, I don't want to hear Irv's secret.

They had me through Mexico....

"Gordon would drive to Cincinnati for coffee, to Denver for lunch, or to Montreal for dinner. He'd drive to Volvo dealerships and car clubs to meet other Volvo lovers. He drove to Mexico...."

Then they kind of lost me...

"He drove to Holland. He drove to Germany. While in Sweden, he drove to Volvo's headquarters to see where his P1800 was born. "

How did he do this, drive up over the pole during winter?

Ron, This can work if it leaks out at the proper rate, but remember the filter...
