Re: lol at this guys ebay ads

I always find it funny when someone takes a picture of a starter and puts it up on ebay listing it as a alternator.

Or a craigslist ad for a 87 legacy
Or when people advertise 5 bolt legacy wheels saying it will fit all subarus? what about the 4 lug old school subies, and the SVX

Or when someone......says all subarus have boxer motor.........Justy
Or when they advertise a SVX as a V6
and for the record part number 1 mounts up near the security brain in the glovebox of the 92's. It does have a sticker on it stating transmission control, I found that on mine at least, its not the TCU but it ties in with something, maybe the power module ..?

fail fail fail

Ok so years ago when i did my FWD to AWD conversion I found this and I have it still, never installed it, couldn't ever figure out what it did, if my current car had it, and where I would put it on a 94. It doesn't show it in the TCU wiring diagram, so It has been a mystery to me ever since...

It's the timer control unit. It does a lot of stuff in the car and is the place where the "beep beep beep" sound originates. In my 95 SVX, it went bad and caused the car to go CRAZY!

Re: lol at this guys ebay ads

That must be another time control unit as I had to replace mine a while ago after frying it and it didn't have a speaker hole thing on it. Mine was located behind the glovebox by the door lock timer.

Re: lol at this guys ebay ads

I don't know why anyone would bid in the first place after reading all that crap at the top of his description. Let alone the fact that he hasn't a clue what he is selling.

It looks sorta like he came across an Svx in the CARS system, and is selling the parts after dissecting it.
