Gauges

So I was fixing the glow gauges that the previous owner installed last night and happened to fix my tripmeter which was nice, but I also messed up the speedometer, gas gauge and temp gauge. When I put the needles back on I must have put them in the wrong spot. Is there anyway to know exactly how the needle should line up or is it more of a guess and check thing?

The previous owner of one of my previous svxs took the needles off of the gauges to install the "glow" gauges. (You don't have to take the needles off, by the way.) I was never able to get them right again, and eventually bought new gauges and installed them.

Re: Gauges

The only way I have done this right is to set the speedometer needle pointing exactly away from 80mph, push on the needle a little because you'll need to spin it clockwise past the little black stopper then let it fall onto it. OR use gps and set it that way. Then press the needle so it sets on the tiny metal rod. As for the temp and gas I turned the car on to operation temp and placed the needles exactly where they were before I removed them.

Yeah, That sounds like a good way to do it... You be around this weekend? Still have those wheels? My # is 541 990 8697 if you don't still have it...
