Weird in-cabin noise

I hear this more at low speeds, and sometimes it doesn't start (or I don't notice it) until it shifts. At first I thought it was either the speakers or the blower motor making the noise, since it sounded like an electrical whine of sorts, but when both were off the noise surfaced. I then thought it could be a belt or pulley, but they're all in good working order and there is no noise from the engine bay. It seems as though this whining noise also increases with how far down the throttle is depressed. Any ideas?

Describe it more... Is it like a squeaking/squealing? Sounds like it's coming from the passenger side?

It SEEMS like it could be, but there aren't any vaccum lines within, are there?

The air path for the HVAC is electrically controlled with motorized levers.

Not so good.... and also you may want to get a new timing cover gasket set as well.

Re: Weird in-cabin noise

Water pump? Wasn't my first guess but was a close second. Glad you figured it out and hope it is fixed soon..

Re: Weird in-cabin noise

I wouldnt really recommend the autozone parts when it comes to the cooling system. I had a sticky thermostat that wouldn't open at the correct temperature, and i had to drain everything and refill 3 times before finally installing one that worked.

Re: Weird in-cabin noise

Yea, just waiting on the parts as of now. If I had the time, I'd change the head gasket while I'm at it just for peace of mind. I've been going back and forth between selling the car for something more tuner/budget friendly, but it's slowly starting settle into a more long term spot in my driveway.
