Question dashboard vent question...blow job??

New to site,,,,have always wondered if dashboard vents are supposed to blow hot air if put on heat with econ or auto setting...mine never have, just allow air flow on vent or ac.........is this how it was designed or does my wife have a valid complaint over the fact that she can't dry her fingernail polish in my svx??

Yes. That's just the way it is. Subaru explains it as a feature as it will not dry out your eyes.

It's a faulty ABS relay. It's a common problem on all 90's Subarus. If you open your hood, locate the abs pump on the passenger side front of the engine bay. You'll see a cover that has "ABS" printed on it in big letters. It's secured by a single Phillips screw. Remove the screw and the cover.

It can be replaced with a standard Bosch style relay which you can pick up at Radio Shack. 30 amp automotive relay part number 275-226 ($6.79).

In the meantime, you can give the top of the box a brisk tap with your hand. This will stop it from running.

If you'd like to go with a genuine Subaru part, the part number is 26735AA012 from the subaru dealer. It retails for $51.45.
