Why is the plastic so weak - mine has cracked twice now, her's cracked already...

I just wondered if this "temporary" fix finally gave way. I also wonder if anyone here has any ideas or ways to beef up a stock radiator in the infamous neck area where they all seem to eventually crack. Ron.

I fixed both of them with magnum steel and both of those cracks have stayed fixed. This is a new crack/ deterioration of the filler neck - the others were on the main part of the plastic.
Someone here was going to have an all aluminum radiator made but needed a donor to take to the fabricator - I will give my broken one up as soon as the new one arrives.
