How deep are these welds man I feel like I blasted through them a long time ago but the cup is still attached. It looked like I have to go all the way around anyways.
-- Nevermind, taking it off had no effect. It's just too long. Debating whether to leave it as is, spend 3 hours grinding away at the base of the yoke, or pay money to have someone mess with it. I'm so very tired.

I had the shaft shortened one inch. Cost me $140. Ugh...
I put everything on today. With the exhaust pipes on I can hear a clicking sound. I didn't drive it too much because I apparently didn't tighten the pipes to the ex mans enough and it leaked what appears to be smoke, or maybe it's just oil or lubricant burning off. I dunno. Didn't sound like an exhaust leak. The click is a bit worrying.. I wonder if trying to drive away with a floor jack still supporting the engine had anything to do with that..
