PS O-ring Question
Just a quick question:
I have looked all over town for an O ring meeting the specs in the How-to doc's for the power steering reservoir. Autozone, Pepboys, NAPA, ETC...nothing...a few came close. How exacting should this be? can it be 1mm off in any diameter? Or to make matters simple, where did some of you get yours. its a 50cent part, i wouldnt expect it to be this big of a pita...lol Thanks in advance for any info you can lend -Devilman-

Anything close will be loads better than the old brittle, dryed out one....

Just order a couple of the OEM ones from your dealer (about $1.00 each) The PN is 062610110.
Makes a lot more sense than spending $4.00 a gallon driving around trying to find them. .

I have a kit that has all different sizes of O-Rings and just got one close to it. They work fine.

Difficult to find 'O'-rings
While you are at the daeler getting hard to find o-rings, you may want to pickup #806908080 Dipstick o-ring. If the dipstick pops up now and then, try a new o-ring before changing the PVC valve. $1.86

thanks for the great responses guys, i was wondering about that "how close can it be" i figured it would do as close as I could get it. But I guess in the interests of being accurate with the vehicle and not buying 7$ worth of Orings I dont need, I will go hit our local subaru dealer, which i try to avoid at all costs (heard stories) and see if they can order it for me. Thanks a bunch for that part#.
