Re-sleeved EG33 vid

Any thoughts? I tried a quick search to see if this had been posted before but didn't find anything. Those sleeves look massive.

Whoops!!

I posted this in another thread when I saw it this morning. Seems that my search was very ineffective.

Tom, i was going to tell you about the costs. I saw this video a few months ago and I looked up the california based company on the internet. After looking at their prices, like you, i considered other machine shops.

With that block, and the forged pistons and rods, all we still need is a forged crankshaft to have a bomb-proof short block. mmmm...aluminum forged crank...

I shot him an email a lil while back as to the possibilities he never got back to me but seems yall got a better response than I did. Tom keep us updated as to what you find for costs and overall turn out if you do this. I'd be interested to see as I'm planning on building my motor sometime in the next year or so....

I'm kidding. I have no connections to get a crank made. If I did, it would already be out there.

Hell, if I had the money to have someone custom make a forged crank for me, my car would not be in the state it is right now. It would look better and go a LOT better.

they were saying it was safe to 1000 hp not that it was going to make it. OT has mentioned of a shop in the pittsburgh area he had spoken to and i asked him if he could re-connect with them and see what its gonna run. So I wait... which is probably a good thing

AR Fabrication mentioned that they would do this as a project. Were not real forthright about a price though, since they have never done one on our motor. They are very good at sleaving subaru motors though, so I'm sure it would not be major learning curve with ours.
