Question really bad idle

i heard the svx idle was supposed to be at 610 rpm, after im done giving it some throttle it goes down to 610 and then drops to like 100 or less and u can feel it just nearly dying... and the lights flicker, also some hesitation between 2000-3000 rpm, any suggestions on what part is bad??

I can't believe it stays running at that rpm. if it fluctuated I would say intake (vac) leak. Like loose intake bolts? No cel, ses light? Hamster needing fed?

So, it must be the hamster.
Okay, I would look for something that one of the long-time suba owners here has to chime-in about.

if i drive the car more then an hour or so with large amounts of throttle, i get no hesitation anymore, but once the engine gets cold it comes right back, after i put the TB cleaner in the AICV and other tubes the hesitation went away for like 30 seconds and came back.... my shifting seams weird, like when going into 2nd gear it clicks 1 time then it has a wierd pull to it like if i was going fast then it makes another firm click...

Which/what lights flicker? Main lights, trouble lights? Importantly are you indicating a drop in battery voltage?

Please --- we are trying to help, but you must do your bit by making sure all advice is clear and specific.

Are you saying that with all lights including the headlights on and the engine running, the headlights and ALL lights flicker. If so, for an instant the battery voltage must go zero and the alternator output cease. Alternatively there is a solid short circuit, but of a very short duration, and so short as to be less than fuse blow times.

Think on this again and be certain, as this is important and also unusual.

no, i think u miss understood , i ment that the idle is so bad it nearly shuts the car off making it so the lights will dim.... i also have hesitation between 2000-3000 rpm, no CEL either, ive tried lots to fix my problem but one i havent tried was to see if my fuel pump regulator was working alright... if u let the car warm up from dead cold to average with not touch it at all the car will run fine, but if u drive the car alot the hesitation goes away and ifg u let the the temp go back to cold the hesitation comes back....already replaced fuel filter, pcv valve, adjusted tps...

what's the fixation w/ the fpr? If fuel is a issue in your mind, then throwing a fuel pressure guage by the fuel filter would be a much easier solution. Not the answer to your fpr Q, but I would look there first. If Trevor thinks it's electrical then I would guess he would be going towards the rectifier bridge being bad and letting ac into the system. Good luck!
