Guess that's why a fair number have been rolled.

I still don't understand rolling over an SVX. The center of gravity is so darn low and they don't roll all that much... to flip one over is like... just wow...

To my knowledge there were only 22 -25 svx's sold here. I know of 3 that were rolled. 2 in the summertime.

Why are they wrecked/rolled?
AWD, ABS & a low center of gravity can only do so much. The laws of physics still apply. Overconfidence in a car's abilities is a hallmark of a great handling car. HonDUH S2000's have the same troubles , so badly that Honda redid the rear suspension to make the car "push" more.

Wrecked I understand.

Rolled on the other hand is the part I just don't get... Tom's explanation does say some though...

Ah, selectable 4wd FTW!
The 89 XT GL I just sold got 32mpg and 28 with the AC on. If I needed 4wd all I had to do was push the red button on the shifter knob.
I love how my RX handles with the Full Time Dual Range and diff lock. We had a little rain today and when I engage the diff lock and hit a corner, the fun starts! Punch the go peddle, turbo spools up and bam, there goes the rear end! I can actually drift it

+1 on AWD drifting! Given the right circumstances, I can drift Kat really smoothly.
Off camber curve+ off throttle= snap oversteer...just add throttle to correct. This doesn't change with the number of drive wheels, FWD, or RWD. Weight transfer is your friend.
