Official Sign UP! COLUMBIA RIVER GORGE DRIVE Sept. 8
WHEN: Saturday, September 8th
TIME: Start arriving at 9am, leave by 10am. Expecting to be done between 5pm-6pm. WHERE: Meet at the Cascade Park Fred Meyer in Vancouver, WA. We will be near the south side parking area, as it is close to Cheveron and Shell for anyone needing to fill up. Take EXIT 28 on I-205 (approx 2 minutes north of Portland). Simply travel east on SE Mill Plain, the Fred Meyer is the first building on the right, can't miss it. DISTANCE: Approximately 200 miles total. (100 miles of I-84, 100 miles of Hwy. 14) EVENT TIME: Approx. 3.5 hours of driving and 3.5 hours of "Stops" WHAT: Great scenery, awesome location stops, and loads of fun. We will be traveling the Oregon side (long nice straights...great views  ), then coming back on the Washington side (curves anyone?  )LUNCH: Charburger in Cascade Locks I think that covers it. I am sorta keeping the "stops" a little bit of a surprise, just to add some "mystery" to the drive. Not sure how many of us have already been to any of the stops, but I am sure for anyone who hasnt been, they will really enjoy what we have planned And anyone who has experienced some of what we have planned, its worth experiencing 5 times over Can't wait to see eveyrone there AND BRING YOUR CAMERAS!! Thanks for the support. This is going to be a great drive. Erik has posted it on other sites also, so we should have a fairly large turnout. We're hoping for at least ten cars and we already have seven. Too Cool!
