Eibach VS Motorsport Warehouse Springs
So, I was looking @ my spring options (getting factory spec struts from Autozone) and the only two I know of are Eibachs and Motorsport Warehouse ones. The Eibachs are almost 1/2 the price of the Motorsport Warehouse ones. Anyone know if one is better than the other? I don't mind a stiff ride, anything's better than what I have now, and money is a factor. I also want to do things right the first time around, soo...I'm hoping for some educated opinions.

This in no way pertains to the SVX, but I had eibach sportline springs "1 drop paired with KYB stock struts on my Toyo Celica and was very happy with the ride and handling.

I never suggest anyone running aftermarket springs with stock struts... It merely reduces the life of the struts. If you want to do it, get some konis and then you can use whatever springs you want. Maxing out the stock struts abilities will kill them.

Mychailo's springs and Dayle's springs are the only ones that work with the stock struts. Mychailo's were actually designed with the stock dampers in mind.

Depends on what you want to do. The Eibach's are available in many different spring rates. I have 335 lb/in front and 285 lb/in rear, so my car is very stiff. Maybe not ideal for the street, but I like it on the track. Mychailo's standard springs only about 60% of those rates, but Bill has good success with them in AutoX. He makes up for the lower spring rates with stouter custom swaybars. If you want to curvey track it, and you don't have access to custom swaybars, you might want to go with much stiffer springs than Dayle's or Mychailo's. If you just want to lower it and get a little more sporty ride, then you might want to stay with the lower spring rate.

i'm running new all new stock struts and motorsport springs. feeling the road is a little more noticeable but that would be expected as well. i'm sure the stiffness of tires would also play a factor on that. no real big complaint

Is a well respected member on this forum. He has developed several sets of bolt in coil springs for our SVX, and made several anti-sway bars. He has also invented a MAF bypass hose mod to augment a 44.5 psi FPR. Look him up.

I am running mychailo's setup with new stock struts and new bushings. The ride is very close to stock although it handles noticeably better. There is much less brake dive in hard stop situations as well as less acceleration squat. I've driven both the Koni/GC setup compared to mine. I liked the Koni as far as near flat cornering and sports car like handling and very firm ride, but at the end of the day i still don't regret my decision because it's still better than stock.

I've been using my search button
and it seems that Subaru OEM struts are prone to premature failure, and I want more cornering performace while still maintaining the supple ride of the SVX. I'm looking at KONI struts paired with the Motorsport G-Lateral springs (1.2" drop front & .75" rear). I'm sure a decent amount of people are running this setup. Is this the best way to go short of dropping the amount of money I spent on the car on coilovers?
