No.
Subaru never put a 5 speed in an svx anywhere.

Classic SVX
I did a search online and everything I found said Subaru only made a 4 speed automatic transmission for all the SVX's everywhere. I had wanted to do a swap on mine also, but it doesnt seem worth it.

No, Subaru only made the SVX with the 4-EAT tranny, however, the guy who told you he has a 5 speed 4X4 tranny for your car could be right. There ARE 5 speeds that fit the SVX, and the STI 6 speed too, but none that were stock, they are borrowed from legacys and imprezas. Do a search. a number of network members have converted theirs.

Its worth every last penny... The 5MT/6MT swap changes the car and makes it that much more fun.

yeah I know you can do a swap with other cars. he made it sound like it was from a svx....but he got all flakey when I started to ask questions. I think I will stay with looking for a good trans with a blown diff..... 5 speed swap is to much work! I just want to get it back on the road and sell it! the car has been a headach and only has 70k! then Ill probly rebuild my old trans and sell it. they are easy to rebuild I just dont want to have my car sit with no trans in it....drop and swap is what I wana do. how much do you guys think it will run for a 4.11 swap....price of the trans and diff? Im in VA and I know there is a guy here in Crozet that has done it.....but I dont know what years I need to look for.....I know it is in a thread somewhere but Im feeling a bit lazy....so anyone feeling like just tellin gme.....that would be great!
