About to get one...
Im about to make a trade for my 97 suby outback sport (135k) for a 92 SVX (110k). Newly put together engine on the SVX, transmission in excellent shape, great rims on right now, all wheels tinted, and only a two pain blemishes (want to get a WRX blue paint job anyways for graduation present) but I bought my outback with my own money, and in this trade there will be no money exchanged, just car for car..
Now my only reason for not making the trade the day i saw this opportunity was gas milage (my outback sport gets about 25, compared to the 22-24 of the SVX), and prices for parts in the future.. Do I have to fill it up with premium? I have a sister car, for a few parts if need be, but that wont always be around, so smaller things like the alternator can be replaced with no cost. I know you are all going nuts about SVX's..i love it too, but im going to college this fall, all the way paid for (scholarships, not parents thank you ) so is this an okay investment for a future college student.. obviously i want something a bit more sleek and fun. |

You can run on the cheapest octane if you buy a $100-120 chip that will increase perf and stuff, the EcuTune 1v4. Otherwise yes, premium only.

If you trade, cash should be involved, your outback is worth a fair amount more than the SVX

Don't fall in love with the first one you see. Make sure it is a good one. Look in the How-To Docs to see what to look for in a used car. Good luck.

Not the best car for your DD. Makes a great second car though. I'd keep the Outback and save up the $2k or so for an SVX.
