window broke again !!

its hard to explain but there is a plastic clip that attaches the window to the window regulator cable wich makes the window go up and down, well im on my 3rd clip !!! i have adjusted the cable also and no luck,

i think the prevous owner let it sit for a verry long time 5 years or so with the window up wich streched the cables maybe

any one have this issue before?

Hardly sounds like an issue for an SVX with only 22000 miles.

Does the window slide up/down easily with the cable detached?

hey guys

the regulator works great no noises no cable kinks or any thing, i have epoxied in the plastic clip on it again and made all kinds of adjustments on the window, hopfully this will hold up longer then the last time,i also greassed all the tracks


do you think sitting in the up postion would stretch the cable or warp something if it sat for the for a long long time?

Have you checked how tight the felt pads are pressing against the glass? Maybe they are too tight and putting alot of drag on there.

I don't think the window being up a long time should stretch the cable.

Without the cable in place if the track is clear and lubed the window will move very freely in the track.
