Wiring diagrams

Does anyone have SVX wiring diagrams? especially those relating to the side view mirrors and the switches that control them? I'm working on a project.

Hey randy, if you have your service manuals out later, can you possibly locate the removal directions for the mirrors as well? Thanks

I've thumbed through every bleeding page in the manual, and I can't find a "how to" on removing the stoopid mirrors. If I had my car, I could do some research, but . . .

I'll look again tonight. Maybe I missed something.

It's OK. I tried to figure it out yesterday in the parking lot... That is until a campus cop acused me of trying to steal my own stereo. I have it figured out though i think.

Triva question: Do you know how Policemen became known as "Cops?"

In the 19-teens, at the height of immigration, Downtown New York became riotous. When the Police would arrive to restore order, they were pelted with bottles, rocks, and various other items from the windows of the buildings above. Eventually, they began to wear *COPPER* helmets to protect their noggins. Thus, they became known as "Coppers" (or to James Cagney, "You dirty Coppers") later shortened to "Cop."

I thought it was an acronym for "Constable On Patrol". Possibly having English origins, but used in America during the early part of the last century.

Hey, I dont know if you've ever looked into the JDM folding mirrors... I acquired one (passenger side) and have been trying to figure if the wiring is pre-run for them. I dont think it is though. Do you have any insight as to these?

Not according to this source http://www.chicoexaminer.com/col_DC/..._19981202.html

I was off on the date, though. It was ca. 1880 instead of the 19-teens.

Mike,

Jamsvx in Australia is getting copies of the RHD Subaru manual from the local agent there. It is possible, likely even, that the Oz models are similar to the JDM ones, and have the folding mirrors. So the manual would have detail on the powered mirrors.

My car has these, and I like the feature. I can close them in when passing through a narrow street where there can be a danger of striking mirrors on parked cars.

Send James a mail, he will find out for you. Also post to Paddlesnz, Paul has all this info, and could get you a Japanese manual wiring diagram as a last resort.
