He's a back up. Akers should be ready to go this weekend. If not this week then the next. But Cortez won't be there for the long run. Andy Reid just didn't want to get screwed like he did in week 2 when we had no back up.

Well Todd France wasn't the best at kickoffs. Cortez's kickoff stats and stuff is alot better than France. Akers will be back soon but he probably won't be able to make good kickoffs...hence the reason for getting cortez. Akers will kick fieldgoals....and cortez will kick the ball off. Its silly to carry two kickers but i guess its ok for a few weeks.

See, therapy works. Feel better? Until the Eagles run the ball, they are doomed. Dallas should be 7-1 if they played 60 minutes instead of 56. New York is the one to watch. I can't wait to see Dallas play them again. Dallas has a very good defense, but we need one more year. A Free Safety and maybe two Linebackers. We have the best front 3/4 in the NFC. The secondary is finally in good shape with just one more piece needed. The O is doing good and when Jones comes back it will be better. Barber III was great in college and I hated him as a Michigan fan, but he played awesome on Sunday. Power, where is Moates? He ran wild over SDSU when he was playing for LA Tech. You can never win throwing 80-90% of the time. Donovan is good, but he is no Montana or Aikman, QB's with a career 70% completion rate. Eagles will have problems with Washington, who is ticked after the Giants fiasco. They will drop 7 and dare the Eagles to run.

Couldn't agree more. Im sick of seeing this 80 percent passing crap. Andy Reid is a stubborn man but they will HAVE to make adjustments soon or else were looking at a 10-6 year. The rest of the division has caught up as far as talent goes. Next 3 weeks are the season for the birds. I will be in philly for the monday night game against dallas...should be a great atmosphere at the LINC.

My best friend lived in Texas after we left school in NJ and went to a Dallas game and wore his Eagles gear. No one threatened to beat him up or pour beer on him. That's why everyone outside here (Delaware Valley) hates Philly. They act like morons.

LOL.....Well if your not a philly fan you won't understand it. Some of the behavior is absolutley stupid but thats all apart of the package . I have had beer...and food thrown at me when at an Eagles game in Giants stadium. Personally I dont even have an issue with it because our fans would do the same thing so I totally understand it. Its just not philly people....NY people do the same stuff boston is the same way. Back when the 76ers and celtics rivalry was heated in the 70's and 80's you could get beat on wearing the sixers red white and blue colors in the boston garden. Same in philly at the spectrum.....the good ol days .You also have to realize that people at philly games in general have alot of alcohol in them. I would not even think of wearing dallas colors to the game. Thats just asking for problems. It also depends on where you sit. At the VET if you sat in the 700 level you were dead...and i mean dead. They would beat you till you died...the 200 level at the LINC is the same as the old 700 level in the VET so beware .
