Burnt out dash bulbs?

Hey gang I'm trying to buy bulbs for my dash! The small green ones that light up up the emblems IE: rear defrost crusie control, fog lights.I have 2 that are out.I went to subaruparts.com but they show 2 diff. bulbs. I can't tell which ones I need by there diagram, one is about $1.50 and the other is about $4.50? Has anyone replaced these bulbs and can give me the right part#? Any help of course would be really appreciated! When I pulled the switch out they have 2 bulbs of corase 1 is blue which lights when the button is pushed(not the one I need) and the other one I need is brown with the green sleeve on it! Thanks again!!

There are two bulb "sockets" in the switch.

A blue one, which which only lights up when the switch is "ON" (has a gold "condom") This bulb number is 83426PA030 and costs $4.50

The bulbs you need are the ones with the brown socket, that control the illumination of the switches whenever the lights are on (has a green "condom") bulb. This bulb is 83426PA020 and is $1.49

For a complete listing of all of the SVX bulbs, go to the How-To documents folder, click on the "Electrical" folder, click on the "Lights" folder and pick one of the two documents HERE

As far as I know......the blue based bulbs (yellow condom) work in the hole for the brown based bulbs (green condom)......BUT will not work the other way around......I've tried it already. I think they are different for a reason.

Search for "Radio Shack" and you'll find a cheaper way to fix the bulbs. I had to replace all of mine and paid $10 instead of $90 the dealership wanted to charge.
