Mad as Hell!

Just got off the phone with the tranny shop. Their suspicions that a blown gasket in the valve body was causing my troubles were wrong. After pulling the VB and taking all day yesterday to rebuild the gaskets, they've put the VB back on and found that it didn't change anything -- there's still a pressure loss. "Call back around 5" was their response.

Meanwhile, I'm going to end up owning this effing rental car and be without my SVX for God knows how long . . . again. It's beginning to look like my car's sitting in the shop until the day I have to leave for Reading isn't outside the realm of possibility -- If I let them continue.

I'm walking away from this site right now. I'm changing the wallpaper on my computer from that of the SVX World Network Logo, I'm changing the SVX World Network Logo wallpaper on my PDA and I'm disabling my screensaver that presents a slide show of all my prior meets. I just don't want to see or think SVX right now. I'm highly pissed. I may check back later today on the forums, but, again, I may not. I'm frustrated.

Do what I am going to do. Sell the SVX and get a newer (97) or something else. Sometimes, you might just have to walk away before going crazy and killing people.

Sorry, Lwin. My obsession runs so deep that the "S" word isn't even a consideration. I will still find another one day to supplement, but not replace.

Perhaps I should just move to a new location that has some knowledgeabe and capable SVX mechanics.

Randy,

What is it about your car and Meets? In order to save you car and sanity, I suggest that we move the 10th Anniv. SVX Meet to your back yard.

Seriously, I'm actually going to light candles and pray to St. Jude. He is known as the 'St. of the Impossible'. If anyone can help fix your tranny, he can.

Good Luck. If you need anything call me.

Larry (keepimg fingers crossed)iii

Hey, the HGTV headquarters is just down the road. Maybe they're hiring.

Hmmm. Think they might need a writer? Shari and I had actually talked to Jerry (construction guy with the Pearly) at the Smokies meet about finding us a log house in that area. He said he could find anything we wanted. I could possibly stand a change of venue after being in the same house for 22 years. Thanks for the tip. After meeting the folks at Earl Duff, I would love to have them as my SVX-perts.

>I support you, to fix, as long as you're capable of handling with the bills. That's the period. After all that, your SVX will be newer, and, power mode, zoom, zoom, zooom. It would be more meaningful to drive a ten-years-old SVX to 10th anniv meet? Hang on there, it'll be over. I'm '92, too, I'm with ya. Wish you get back your identification soon.

Perhaps I should just move to a new location that has some knowledgeabe and capable SVX mechanics.

The "S" word is switch. Or supplement. Exchange if you will at worst case. i am just a little sick of hearing the words S V X now.

Lwin
ps. I was out yesterday night and I saw another 94 red at the restaurant. It was great to see another one there. Amazing. But the more I see a 325 or 318, the more I want it at this time.

I hate to say this, but you might have almost been better off having a shop remove the tranny and ship it to Level Ten than to go through all this. The only saving grace I can see with these guys is that the work they did is still under warranty (yes?), otherwise...

Anyhoo, I hope they are actually able to fix it this time. It does indeed look like they'll be working on it 'til the Reading Meet comes up, though. I'd be pissed too.

No. The work isn't under warranty. It was warranted for 90 Days and that has long passed. I am (as I've said before) depending upon their sense of fair play and mercy.

The only thing that keeps me from regretting this whole freakin' mess, is that these guys humped to get my first tranny (the lovely Legacy tranny) rebuilt in time for me to make the VT and Snowshoe I meets. And that has made it ALL worth it.

Now that's the Randy we all know and Love!

Besides, when you are getting you tranny rebuilt for the 9th, 10th, and 11th times, then you can *****. Until then, its just an expensive inconvenience...
