Mychailo weighed his '95 L (awd) at 3,490lbs when it had an auto trans. I weighed my '96 L (AWD) at the same weight when I first got the car.

Now after replacing the heavy stock exhaust from the headers-back, switching to RX-7 wheels and doing a few other weight reduction measures, my car weighs in at ~3425lbs. I dip under 3,400lbs when I remove my spare and tools.

Yeah when you weigh the car without the things that it should have in it (spare, full tank of gas, tool kit, jack, owners packet) but in reality Subaru has always gone low on their weights. The real world rates are as I had posted give or take maybe 50lbs. Remember a full tank of gas weighs about 150.

I totally agree. When i gas up my car, i can feel the weight of it through my accelerations. As far as my car's weight, when i took it to the yearly mechanical checkup, the thing gave me 1505 Kg ~ 3313 lbs . then if i still remember i had a 3/4 tank of gas, removed the spare, the rear wiper motor, the rear plastic water bottle, and my body kit fiber conversion...

The 3425lb weight was with the jack, tools, mats, etc. in my car but with a 1/2 tank of gas.

The lowest weight I've recorded at the scale at my local dump has been 3560lbs (1/2 tank, no spare, tools, but with mats) and when I subtract my 170lbs, it puts me right at 3,390lbs with a 4EAT. This is my racing weight typically when I go autoxing or to the dragstrip.

When i weighed my 94 LS-L it was 3405 on empty, with lots of little things done. Empty trunk, bumper mods, pass seat on drivers side, but still full interior.

Just curious, what would cause the disparity in weight between the two vehicles, considering that they're both AWD?

Leather seats and power driver's seat, for one thing. Well, I guess that's two things...

Sunroof is another...

That's specifically why I searched high-n-low for an AWD L model. Lower curb weight (~100lbs) than an awd LS-L or LSi model.
