I may be wrong, but I beleive that at one time not too long ago Montana didn't have a speed limit. It was just based on how well you were driving and if you were in a car that was capable of performing well at that speed.

I don't look at a radar detector as a licence to speed, it's just that every once in a while you come across a really nice stretch of road (with few if any cars on it) and you just want to let your car stretch its legs a bit.

What are a few pet peeves? Just curious.

Also, I know up here in Saskatchewan right now the RCMP are under attack (literally). In the last few weeks there have been a couple of cases where officers have been attacked. If/when we do get stopped, what is it that they/you would like us to do. For example, should we be shutting the car off, both hands on the wheel etc. just to make it as harmless a stop as possible. I'd just like to know how I can make the job easier.

hats off or forward hands on wheel and not a smerk but i smile and say sorry and admit what u did. dont argue. ive tried both. less tickets with the smile and admitance u dont always have to apologize. the argue way has always resulted in court and some out comes are good and some are bad but all a big waste of time when there is money to be made or nice warm beaches to visit. im dreaming.
