Sharky512345 will be coming from central Oregon and then I will join him in Portland sometime on Friday. I don't know of anyone else coming north but join us if you'd like.

We might have a group of up to 5 cars coming up from sisters and bend if they all can make it.

Is anyone coming up from california or eugene/salem that wants to join?

Unhappy not going

I won't be going this weekend, things just didn't work out. It also seems that my tire is rubbing on the inner fender and I smell burnt rubber when I drive . Won't be driving the car until thats fixed, and some other stuff came up, so hopefully next year .

The show was a lot of fun and once again set a record attendance number, it just keeps getting bigger every year.

We did our part, with 9 SVXes entered in the show, many times more than have ever appeared. The show organizers and just about every other Subaru owner there was very impressed with the SVX turnout.

It's always fun once a year to get together with the whole extended Subaru family.

Maybe one of these years we'll even have a SVX group camp like the other Subarus.

I twice heard some of the old-school people say "Geeze, there's a lot of SVXs here." It's a weird situation though because there are definitely three cliques; the WRXs, the SVXs, and the old-school guys.

I'm a bit of an old timer in the old-school clan, so for me WCSS was all about mudding. (I've got mud in my blood!) The trails around there were boring, and unfortunately the mud pit didn't work out, so I was kinda let down. It was neat to walk around and see all the crazy cars and their equally crazy owners though. ...like the Brat with a 600 CFM Holly and super-radical cam. ...or the "Bratch," or "HatchBrat," which was a hatchback carved into a Brat. ...or the early Subaru convertible. ...or the license plates from thousands of miles away. ...or any of those dead sexy SVXs.

It was a great meet. I heard some comment -"Are those Subarus?" Or, when did they make those? It was fun to see all of the cars and owners there who definately LOVE SUBARU!

I think we were all a bit disappointed by the lack of mud-slingin'. After the great time I had watching it all last year, I think I set the expectations too high for some of the SVXers that were really interested in seeing some action. Hood River was a bit of a drive for us Puget Sounders, but it was worth it as the location was much better IMHO, especially the mud pit! Hope they find a place like that again for next year, and everyone makes a point of coming no matter how far it is.
