need a transmission for "The Swap"

Hey everyone,

I'm looking for a 92-98 Subaru automatic transmission with a gear ratio of 4.44. Anyone know where I can find one? 4.11 would do in a pinch also.

Most 2.5L Legacy, non GT's were 4.44. When you find one get the vin and have the subie dealer run it to conferm that it is a 4.44. If your car is a AWD make sure that you get the a matching LSD 4.44 rear too.

so a legacy gt is generally a 4.11?

i ask because i have a tranny from a '96 legacy. vin says its from a gt.
