cruise control
Since I installed a relay to send battery voltage to my starter,I now have lived with a strange issue. If the car is in park and I engage the dash mounted cruise button my car will stall. That button is actually sending 4 volts thru the ground potion of the relay. The cruise works fine during driving but if I stop and put the car in park it will stall.I may just remove the relay and try to replace my ignition signal wire so I don't have to hear several clicks before the car starts, and no its not a bad starter either.Several members have performed this mod to get rid of the weak voltage from the signal wire. How much trouble would it be to replace the signal wire from the igniton forward.

That's the first I've heard of this. I've done this mod with complete success.
Did you wire it like this:

Its wired up exactly like that but if you put a voltmeter on terminal 86 I get 4 volts with the cruise on.The car will run with the button pressed in.When you pt the vechicle in park it stalls. The only repair I made was when a fog lamp wire became detached and I soldier it back and maybe I connected something on the cruise side but I buying a complete new switch.Only after I remove the relay and the car still has that issue.Seeing voltage on terminal 86 tells me that the cruise has to be on the ignition circuit or pretty close.
