Hot New Hyundai Concept

Hyundai HCD8. Saw this beauty in a mag so I decided to check it out. If produced, this may be the next car in line. I read somewhere else it was originally going to have a 4.5L V8. Check it out, I love the wood trunk http://www.ultimatecarpage.com/frame...ar.mv&num=1866

IMO, there is NO SUCH THING as a 'Hot Hyundai'.

Everybody gets a second chance.

and a third, maybe even a 4th.

I had a pony for 45k kilometers, I changed the oil once, and I think I filled the tank maybe 20 times. The car always ran, not sure how or why, but it did.

Oh, the pony was definately not a HOT hy-an-dry

....you also currently own a dodge neon.

I'd like anyone who actually looked at the car without holding a Hyundai prejudice to tell me that it is not a sweet ride.

I looked at it...I don't like it.

BTW, never said my Neon was a "hot neon" in any way shape or form. Nor am I promoting it as "da shizzle ride, y0!"

Those of us that were around when the first Subaru came to town said the same thing...

Hyundai is trying to prove itself a worthy adversary to the Japanese Industries and the world... I'll bet they catch my interest here soon with something...

It's ugly, like an Audi TT. And FWD too.

I drove a Hyundai once and it was enough to convince me never to own one.

The only way to make a Hyundai "hot" is to drain the radiator.

<start landshark mode>

NO WAY! Since hyundai made ****ty cars in the past, and my brain cannot accept change, I deem it impossible that said company could EVER produce a good car! I must also throw in a chrysler insult to make me feel good!

<end landshark mode>

I think it's pretty cool, because unlike SOME people I judge cars on an individual basis, and I'm not brainwashed into thinking certain brands are perfect and others are completely horrid.

I had a 2002 Hyundai Elantra GT. Great car, looks very Saab-like and it never gave me a single problem. Quality is head and shoulders above the Neon/Cavalier type cars it competes with. Sold it at 25,000 miles because I got bored of it. Now I have a German car so I'm at the repair shop often. Reminds me of the old days of having an SVX

I suppose my taste is a reflection of fading youth, but the only upcoming cars I've seen lately that didn't look downright ridiculous are the Ford GT and Mustang.
