Angry gas prices

Just wondering what everyone pays for 91 or better gas at the pumps. Here in Idaho, the price for premium petrol is around $2.03 a gallon. What a rip off. I'm not sure, but the whole Hussein capture seems to have had an effect on the price we pay. On the day he was caught, i think the price would have been around $1.69 for premium.

Yikes.

A couple of weeks ago I said it was approaching $1.90/gallon here. Since then it has stabilized in the mid-80s. That's 93 octane. 89 octane is about a dime cheaper.

But for those of us in the States: Just wait 'til Memorial Day weekend.

Just after that OPEC cut production by 10%, how do you spell MARKET MANIPULATION? I think I'll start drilling in my back yard!

I paid $1.86 in south west WI--but now that I am home for spring break, I can expect to pay more as even though the taxes are the same and all, somehow the 120 miles north increases the prices by $0.05-0.07 per gallon. Again, that is also market manipulation.

How about when you watch new prices posted on fuel you know for a FACT is already in the tanks and paid for at the "old" price?
An example being when I drive by in the morning, note the price, and return in the PM to find them up 3 cents, and drive by in the next AM to see them up another nickel!! Fair business practices? Capitalism at it's ugliest ??

Just a week ago, the price was 1.83 at the station where I buy (the lowest price I could find). This week, 1.75. However, I took a trip through my ol' hometown of Bowling Green ('Vette City') on Saturday. Premium (93 Octane) was at 1.69.

Randy, How was my favorite Southern city? First time through we took the "real" factory tour. What a kick! Saw stacks of the LT-5(ZR-1) motors as tall as a house, and watching test driver running a C5 through the gears inside a closed room was a WOW!!!

Bowling Green's near the top of my list of possible retirement cities, and with gas prices like that it's moving up!!!
