ok how about "_".
flat v is just a term i picked up. it makes more sense to people not in the know than H6 or whatever and plus its a smooth phrase.

if im not learning then whats there to think about?

this crap is starting to get rediculous, if you dont know just ask and admit it. A good line to live by is "The only thing I know is that i know nothing at all."
There is no shame in living like that, its what i do. But saying what you think sounds right is not gonna do anything but cuase trouble for you and for everyone else.

so now im a fool because i say flat-V and dont know jack about the history of lotus?

the problem with not knowing is that when you know something it may not necessarily be true. ive only heard and seen the espirit to be a V8, therefore it is what i knew. im not going to question myself about everything i think i know and try to prove myself wrong unless i sincerely doubt myself.
fact of the matter is i dont really talk to myself that much. :\

besides its just a frickin word. if that kind of thing gets to you maybe you can lobby to make certain phrases illegal. when that happens ill give you a cookie and a flying pig.

you speak in riddles. someday i hope to understand the meaning. perhaps huffing lacquer thinner will help.

I learned to drive on a Porsche 944 Turbo, which i'm pretty positive is a flat 4...RWD too...man that thing could move! I don't know a whole lot about porsches...but i love to drive them.

I cant tell if you're making fun of nik or not but 944s are inline-4s. I test drove an '83 NA 944 before I got my current vehicle, they're pretty sick cars, just a pain to repair according to the mechanic who was selling it (he mus've not wanted too sell it that badly). It'd be a great autoX car.

I told you I don't know Porsches. I thought the Flat engine design was a Porsche staple. How can a 4-cylinder be a Flat 4? Well what if the 4 cylinders are on their side? Again, I refer you to the first sentence in this paragraph.
