The Euro Resonator is $200US. I don't think it makes it any louder. If you want to save on money, you could use the stock center pipe. Initially, I had the stock center pipe installed with the Euro Resonator and the Stebro muffler. When I installed the Stebro center pipe, I noticed no difference in power, tone, or noise level. The stock center pipe has an ID of 2.4". The Stebro center pipe has an ID of 2.5". That represents a 10% increase in cross-sectional area. Apparently, it doesn't matter for performance with a stock motor.

So what exactly does the stebro resonator do? Does it change the tone at all? The reason I'm interested in it is because my collector Y-pipe thing is shot, and all the muffler shops around here are run by idiots "Oh we'd have to use a subaru part which is $600".

Any benefits to it at all?

If not, Phil and I are just going to get a pair made.

It dramatically deepens the tone of the exhaust, and it flows better than the stock cat.
