Won't happen...

I wonder how they will try to approach this...like a video game or actually have a robot drive a car by remote control? Either way, it isn't going to happen. Having a computer think out chess moves is one thing; racing a car is a whole different kettle of gears. McLaren with all of its multimillions still can't get their computerized launch control to work properly. To try to control the multiple variables inherent in a modern race car....it should like something a computer could do, but in the real world I doubt it. Not in a real race environment anyway. Would this be like a qualifying lap, where Schumacher puts in a fast lap...and then a computerized Ferrari does it on its own?

A Ferrari with a Cray in the cockpit....what a thought!

How did the test go today?
Not so good...
What happened?
18,000 rpm down Hanger Straight (Silverstone) and it shifted into first gear!
Good grief! There must have been bits a pieces everywhere...what happened?
Oh some guy in the paddock pressed his remote garage door opener.....
