Fender flares?

Anyone with artistic skills.... how do you think fender flares like in an "original" M3 or the latest RS4 B8 would look like on an SVX? See photos.... especially the rear ones might be rather "easy" to do . 1-1,5" more space for tires would make a difference.

Re: Fender flares?

The prototype/concept SVX had much wider flares than the production car ended up with.

New front fenders out of fiberglass would be doable but I've never been a fan of the widebody "overfenders" for the rear. I don't like the rounded bolt-on flares either, they don't go well with the smooth body lines of the SVX.

Re: Fender flares?

I've found that the rear is already quite a bit wider than the front anyway, some fiberglass front fenders might be just right to widen it out to match the rear. My 18x9.5 wheels sit inside the rear arch however run just to the outside of the front.

Re: Fender flares?

Looks good, thanks ! I haven't seen these previously.

Something like this, but a bit more discreet :-)

Had an idea about "updating" the front fenders with new ones made of FG. It was kinda a mix between the prototype design and something similar to the arches of the Nissan Altima. You see that curved band directly above the tire? 90's cars miss that design.

Love the looks on the prototype.

Re: Fender flares?

A laser scan would be cool :.

Not as expensive as I thought.

As a basis for someone with artistic skills.
